Using branch with a subscription management system

Asked on March 15, 2017 in Mobile Growth General.

Hey all!

I am currently working on a project with a core revenue stream heavily relying on a subscription model.  We have a basic app right now that has an in app purchase system of one payment with Branch SDK  installed and it’s great. I am sending out deep links tied to promo codes (promo code makes the app totally free) in order to solely gain users for our main launch. My question is, does branch’s promo code feature tie with any subscription management systems out there? Zuora, Chargify, Recurly for example. Could I create a deep link that would enter a promo code on those systems? For example, a link that opens app store, user downloads, opens app, creates account and has a 3 months free promo code applied.

Thanks!

Hi – thanks for posting the question. There is no out of the box integration with these services, however, for your use-case, you can use Branch links to carry the promo code and then automatically apply that when the user downloads+opens the app.

All you would need to do is create a Branch link and add the promo code as the deep link data. Then when the SDK initialises in the app, you can read the deep link data and apply the promo code. Let me know if you have more questions.
