Simulate app store detour ?

I’m trying to figure out why our link doesn’t continue after the app is downloaded.
I can’t figure out a reason for it.
And I can’t debug an app downloaded from the app store.

Here is what is happening
if the app is downloaded: clicking on the link work as expected (opens the right view in the app).
if not, the user goes to the app store, downloads the app and then nothing happens.

What I want is to take the user to the same screen he is supposed to go to anyway.

Hi – thanks for writing in!

This seems to me as most likely a setup issue. Can you check the following:

  1. The Branch link used to test and the Branch key used to initiate the SDK belong to the same Branch app? Note that the test and live apps are different. If you click a link generated from the test app and initiate the SDK using the Live key (or vice-versa), the Branch SDK will not deliver the deep link parameters and therefore user won’t be deep linked.
  2. If the link and the key are matching, please initialize the SDK, and ensure that you have deep link routing setup. You can use the SDK test mode as documented here

If this does not resolve the issue, please create a ticket for our integrations team here and we will look into it. Thanks!
