Facebook deep link breaking for fresh installs

I have been trying to integrate Branch links for inviting friends through my Android App via Facebook Invites. I attach a unique referral ID, along with the link as a Branch Universal Object metaContent. I then extract the ID, in my launch activity by extracting the referring params, after initiating the branch session. Now, there are two scenarios:

  1. Invited friend has application installed (Working fine):  Invited friend gets a notification. On clicking the app invite the referral ID can be fetched from the launch activity.
  2. Invited friend does not have the application installed: Invite Link redirects to play store, and after install, the referring params break. That is, the extracted information states ‘clicked_branch_link’ = false.

What information can I provide to make you help me with this case?

Update: The generated URL with branch is working fine. However, when the URL is added as a facebook invite URL, the flow breaks.

Hmmm…I know that this flow has been broken on iOS for some time (acknowledged as such by Facebook), but it was still working on Android the last time I checked.

Could you submit an Integrations ticket so our team can take a closer look at your configuration and debug what is going on here?
