Deepview is not working as expected

Asked on October 14, 2016 in Technical.

We’re trying to integrate our branch Link Domain as a deeplink in our Adjust tracking.

example :

on an iOs with the App, when we clicked on the link we’re redirected to the deepview where we can download the App while we already have it

on an iOs without the App, when we clicked on the link we’re redirected to the deepview where we can download the App : so far so good

on Desktop, when we clicked we are redirected to

When I try to clic on my Branch Link Domain (, with the App installed or not, with any device, I’m redirected to my Default URL.

I don’t understand why deepview is not working properly.

A little help would be very appreciated 🙂

Many thanks

Hey, thanks for posting the question.

Please note that is your Branch app’s domain and is not a qualified Branch link. When only the base domain is entered as a URL, Branch redirects the user to the Default URL that is configured either on the link or at Branch Dashboard->Settings->Link->Default URL. To make a Branch link from the domain, you simply need to append some query parameter as Note, that this link on the Desktop also takes the user to the Deepview. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello Ankit,

Thank you for your answeer : it’s really helpfull,

Actually the link on mobile also brought me to the Deepview. Is that because I used it without a query parameter ?

Many thanks,

If you enter just the domain name, it’ll always take you to the Default URL. I just checked on my mobile device by entering just the domain and it took me to your website.

If the link is a qualified Branch link and has Deepview enabled either on the link or on global settings at Branch Dashboard->Settings->Deepview , it will take the user to the Deepview if the app is not installed.
