Great question! I’d also love to hear some responses on this.

There are so many different strategies and I believe it highly depends on what type of app it is. Gaming apps might have more success with Facebook campaigns or iAds as an initial strategy while a new insurance app, like Lemonade, had great success with PR. Whatever the strategy, make sure to measure the success of it! Mobile marketers need to know what KPIs should be moving for various campaigns and have goals set in place way prior to launch.

I love that Appboy launched a course – what a great inbound strategy. Appboy can be a little robust for a MVP or a small company but this allows potential users to really get a feel for what they should be looking at and what lays ahead of them!

That’s a great point. There’s no one-size-fits all marketing strategy. It depends on the industry and business model. For example, finance apps like Betterment or Acorns might benefit more from content vs. gaming apps, which can see initial user growth solely from Facebook ads because of the nature of the app. Then when it comes to retention, the difference is clear as well.

Hi friends, as you said that after launching an app in the app store, the first thing app developers should do is to promote their app to get more people know their app and download it. More downloads an app get, more downloads it will get, and higher position it will get in the app store. So how to get more app downloads is very important.  Here I recommend you some methods about how to get new users.

  • Advertise

Advertisements are everywhere in the daily life. When we shopping in the mall, when we watching TV, when we taking a taxi even when we taking the lift, we can see advertise about all kinds of things. So this is a good way to make your app know by more people. Only increase the exposure of your app, it can gain new users.

  • Keywords search optimization

Data show that nearly 70% users download an app through searching the keywords in the app store. So find right keywords for your app can make your app more visibility in the app store. But how to choose right keywords. Here are some methods.

Relevance – Your keyword should be related to your app. In other words, if there is someone searching for one keyword, while it is not related to your app. Even your app is ranking #1, how likely will they be to download your app?

Competition and traffic – The trick here is to hit the right balance between the different levels of traffic and difficulty.

  • Get more app downloads

As I mentioned before, more downloads your app get, more downloads your app will get. So you can buy some app downloads from reliable company, such as ASOTOP1. They can provide multiple countries and install types for you to choose from, and help boos your app store ranking in a short time. Only when your app have some user base and come into the top charts,  users will see your app and download it. So get more app downloads is very important. You can also get app download from asking your friends and families help or exchange downloads in some communities.
