Here’s some candid feedback as someone that just signed up:
I’ve actually saved the links to several threads and put them in my to-do list so I can remember to write up “blog post” type answers to the questions. A lot of these questions are very open-ended (what’s your best user retention strategies, user acq tricks, etc) and would require a lot of time and thought. Because it’s Friday night, I don’t have the time to write up a long answer. So I’m hoping that I’ll come back next week and write up a good answer to some of these questions. We’ll see if I actually get over the motivation/ability hump to actually do it!
To combat this – how can you make it easier for the community to engage with questions or post their own content?
Communities like Designer/Hacker News are based around sharing links to content that’s already been created, and then the community can have a discussion around it. It’s a lot easier to write a quick response to a link, than answer a broad question like “what’s your best user retention strategies?”
